Although a diversion from hand embroidered crewel, I could not resist this selection of suzanis when I saw them on my travels.  The beautiful colour palette and delicate patterns tell a story all their own. Originating from Uzbekistan, they are vintage, some hand embroidered and some machine embroidered, with vibrant colour combinations which give a richness to any interior.  Perfect as a panel to transform a headboard or ottoman, or alternatively artfully draped over a bed or sofa for a wonderfully layered look.

A vintage piece, full of vibrant colours, this suzani is a one of a kind and is likely to carry some signs of its history, such imperfections serving to enhance its character and add to its charm.
